Dare to go barefaced for International Women’s Day
With International Women’s Day just around the corner, we at Procoal have decided to throw you a challenge! Dare to go barefaced and go a day without makeup!
For some, this might not be a big deal, but for others, the thought of going a whole day without makeup can send chills down your spine! No-makeup makeup has become a huge trend in recent years, so many everyday looks are no longer used. But are you brave enough to go completely makeup-free? Don’t have your no-makeup secrets? Here’s the challenge!
We don’t want to hear that you’re having a busy day with friends, an important work meeting, a job interview, or even a first date! Go out without makeup! We know that without the protective layers of mascara, foundation, and lipstick, you really have to show what you’re made of, and you’ll undoubtedly get an incredible confidence boost! I can tell you from personal experience that even if you have the biggest pimples known to man, there’s a feeling of complete liberation when you go through the day with a smile on your face! By the end of the day, I had completely forgotten about it, and it felt so liberating to rub my eyes without worrying about smudging my mascara and eyeshadow!
Skin confidence has been a big topic in the media lately, thanks to influencers like Em from the blog My Pale Skin, who rose to fame in 2015 with her powerful video “You Look Disgusting”, bringing us all the nasty comments and trolls she received on social media just because she has acne. Some things can’t be changed, but it has been a subject of torment and uneasiness since my childhood, whether it was problematic teenage skin or adult acne. It’s still considered something that is extremely embarrassing, no matter what age. It’s time to stop all that!
Based on everything I mentioned before, we come up with the “Dare to Bare” challenge! As nerve-wracking as it can be, you never know what will happen on a day with or without makeup!
On Friday, March 8, International Women’s Day, start the day with a little skin care, maybe try a face mask or deep cleansing scrub, and get your bare skin looking its best with Procoal, ready for the Dare to Bare challenge!
