Here’s how to moisturize your skin on a plane

You’re traveling, how exciting! The only question is how hard flying can be on your skin! Here are some airplane skin care tips to help you achieve your goals without causing too much damage to your skin.

Hydration

I know we’ve said it a lot here, but making sure you drink enough water really does keep you and your skin in tip-top shape. Try to drink 2 liters, or even more (depending on the length of the flight) during your flight to avoid all the dehydrating factors that occur during a flight. You can also bring some travel-sized face mists with you for extra hydration.

Makeup

I know not everyone likes to fly without makeup, but if possible, go for a light concealing product like a BB cream, or even mix your foundation with a moisturizer, diluting the product to add a little extra moisture to suit your needs. Your skin will look better and your pores will be less clogged. If you can stand it, go for a completely bare face look, it will feel a lot fresher without makeup.

Sheet Masks

Facial masks are a must-have beauty item for long-haul flights. Not only do they help cut down on travel time, they also provide amazing hydration to the skin. You just have to accept the fact that for about 20 minutes you’re going to look a bit scary. Apply your mask towards the end of your flight, as you’ll have less time on the plane and your skin will dry out again. You don’t have to focus on just using a mask. A water-based sleeping mask is also a big help, and you’ll find that this is one of the best masks for flying.

Skin Care

Make sure you give yourself enough time to do your skincare routine before heading to the airport so that all moisturizers and oils can be thoroughly absorbed into your skin, leaving it plump and radiant. You can also bring travel-sized skincare with you on your flight, as you’ll also benefit from using it before and during your flight. Our charcoal mask comes in under 100ml, which means you can take it on board and then sneak into the bathroom to apply the solution.

Facial Wipes

If you want to remove your makeup during your flight, bring some face wipes on long-haul flights so you have a chance to cleanse your skin and remove your makeup. This airplane beauty tip doesn’t necessarily apply to long-haul flights, as short flights can be equally dehydrating!

Letting Go

As much as you might be tempted to rub your tired eyes and face, airplanes are full of flying germs. No matter how clean you are, you can’t stop the spread of germs. So err on the side of caution and avoid touching your face. How to Avoid Post-Flight Acne.

Peeling

Dealing with lots of breakouts after a flight is more common than you think. Bringing a scrub with you on vacation is a great way to thoroughly cleanse your skin once you arrive at your hotel! It’s the perfect way to clear your skin of congestion and bacteria after a flight and prepare it for Vitamin D!

Body

Of course, we can’t forget about the body. Once you arrive at your hotel, take a warm shower and do a light body scrub to stimulate blood circulation in your body. Then apply a rich moisturizer all over your body to restore moisture to your skin. Perfect for rebalancing your skin after a trip.

Air Conditioning

Granted, it can get a bit stuffy on a plane, but turning up the air conditioning overhead will only exacerbate the problem of dry skin. If you find yourself getting too hot or too cold on a plane, I recommend that your travel clothing consists of lots of comfortable, lightweight, and easy-to-put-on-and-off pieces.

Eat

You may decide not to, but filling your suitcase with plenty of fruits and vegetables like watermelon, cucumbers, etc. will help you absorb more fluids, which is obviously good for your skin and body. If you avoid salty snacks on the plane, you won’t feel thirsty or nauseous during the flight.

So there you have it, some of our best in-flight skincare tips. If you follow some of these options, you can enjoy your trip even more because you can rest assured that your skin is not dehydrated!
