How to Do Your Own Spa Treatment at Home

It feels like a strange time of year, with the Christmas spirit just a distant memory and we’ve made it past January and spring has peaked in those black rain clouds.

You’d be forgiven for feeling a little down and in need of an afternoon spa treatment, but there’s a problem… Valentine’s Day… Yeah, so find a spot at your favorite spa and off you go… Other than that, you can enjoy a wonderful spa atmosphere in the comfort of your own home. Here are some tips and tricks to add a little bit of zen to your bedroom or bathroom.

Choose a room. Whether it’s a bathroom, bedroom or living room. Choose a room where you feel most comfortable and can really relax. Yes, admittedly, bathrooms are easier to clean, but lying in bed is super relaxing. Ultimately, it’s really up to you!

Staged. When you enter a spa, it always smells wonderful. This is mainly due to the scents and candles in the room that create the right atmosphere.

Lavender, chamomile and eucalyptus – these scents are great choices for home spa treatments because they really set the mood. You’ll also find cozy robes and slippers to add to the home-away-from-home feel of a spa.

Before you start your DIY spa treatment, it’s best to sit down and relax with a cup of herbal tea, put your phone in another room, and focus on resting your mind and body to prepare for the treatment.

When life gives you lemons… use them to make spa recipes at home! Applying lemon and honey to the eye area can eliminate dark circles and is a great natural way to brighten the eye area. You can also rub lemon on your knees and elbows.

The acid in lemons also helps relieve dry areas of the body. Of course, we can’t forget the great benefits of drinking warm lemon water, which boosts metabolism and energizes the body without adding sugar.

Face steaming. Boil a kettle and let it cool for 5 minutes. Then pour the water into a bowl and add two drops of essential oil. Lavender is a good choice. Then add the contents of the herbal tea bag and

The aroma of herbs and flowers adds a touch of luxury.

Bend over, cover the bowl with the mixture, and place a towel over your head. The steam from the water opens the pores and dehydrates the skin, preparing it for further treatment. Enjoy a facial treatment at home easily

Get visible results. Don’t forget to vary the essential oils and herbal teas you use.

Grab your blender. It can definitely make a delicious green smoothie, but I actually wanted to use your blender to make my own facial spa at home. Add some cold cream, yogurt, honey, avocado, and aloe vera gel, blend everything together

Smooth the mask and apply it to your skin.

Wait for it to dry and rinse with warm water. When doing a deep cleansing facial at home, always apply the mask after steaming your face so that the ingredients can penetrate deeper into the skin.

You can also make an egg and avocado hair mask at home with this mixture, which will moisturize your hair very well without making it heavy and greasy. However, if you don’t want to create your own recipe, we highly recommend that you

try our moisturizing mask.

Bathroom. I know this may seem a little obvious, but when you fill a bathtub full of Epsom salts, bubbles, and various other lotions and tinctures, you’re having a body spa at home. Similar to a facial steam, a warm bath opens up your pores,

so that whatever you apply to your body afterwards will work faster. Let’s not forget how wonderful a relaxing bath is.

Start scrubbing. It may be an old wives’ tale, but I think it works. Take some coffee granules (the same ones you use for your morning coffee) and mix them with some softened brown sugar. You’ll get a body exfoliant that doesn’t irritate the skin, but also fights cellulite, strengthens the body, and boosts blood circulation. It also removes dead skin cells or dirt, leaving behind flawless, radiant skin.

Heat things up. Place your body lotion on a warmer before bathing to refresh your body lotion. This means it can be extremely beneficial for the entire body and, due to its warming effect, creates a spa-like feeling

at home.

Here are a number of ways to get the best of spa treatments at home without breaking the bank and get that relaxing spa feeling right in your living room! It’s the perfect pick-me-up for the seasonal chaos we’re all experiencing right now.

If you give these a try, you’ll be perfectly prepared for the start of spring.
